Former Brobeck chairman Snow settles on Cooley
Cooley has hired Tower Snow, the US securities specialist and former Brobeck chairman who spearheaded Clifford Chance’s ill-fated West Coast expansion.
Snow joins Cooley as a securities litigation partner in San Francisco from Howard Rice Nemerovski Canady Falk & Rabkin, where he was a director.
Snow joined Clifford Chance from Brobeck Phleger & Harrison (where he was chairman) in 2002, along with 17 partners, to help the magic circle firm establish a presence on the US westcoast. His former firm collapsed a year later (TheLawyer 22 August 2005).
Snow’s venture with Clifford Chance faltered in 2004, with theLos Angeles, Palo Alto, San Diego and San Francisco offices ultimately closing. Snow moved to a consultancy position within the firm between 2004 and 2006.
He left private practice in 2006 to become an independent consultant to large financial services companies. Snow joined Howard Rice in 2009 (TheLawyer 6 March 2009).
