City of London Group (COLG) has appointed former 3i Group general counsel Tony Brierley as a non-executive director.
Brierley, who was also a member of 3i’s management committee alongside his role as general counsel and company secretary, joins the investment company’s board on 1 December. He will also chair its audit and risk committee.
Brierley is currently a non-executive director at The Pensions Regulator and a trustee director of the 3i Group pension plan.
He retired from his role as general counsel at 3i in 2007 (5 November 2007).
He is joined on the COLG board by former Southern Water Services finance director Howard Goodbourn and John Williams, a former partner of investment bank Gleacher Shacklock.
