Fordham for 2 Hare Court

BESTSELLING barrister Michael Fordham is leaving commercial chambers at 3 Gray's Inn Place for 2 Hare Court, a set specialising in both public and commercial law.

Fordham, author of the 'Judicial Review Handbook', has taught administrative law at Hertford College, Oxford, since completing his pupillage four years ago.

"I'm not turning my back on commercial law," he says.

"In fact I'm hoping to explore the overlap between commercial and administrative law, including investors' company schemes and regulatory bodies such as Imro and Lautro."

Among the QCs Fordham will be working with are David Pannick, Lord Lester of Herne Hill and Presiley Baxendale.

Fordham admits to working a seven-day week while teaching law at weekends, but says this is the only way he could have moved into the area of public law.
