South West firm Foot Anstey has seen its turnover shoot up by 27 per cent as it continues on its mission to become the premier firm in the region.
Turnover grew to £14.1m, an increase of 27 per cent from last year's £11.4m fee income. The increase is due partially to its May 2005 merger with Alms & Young, which gave it an additional 30 lawyers.
Foot Anstey has set itself the goal of becoming the biggest law firm in the South West, concentrating on Cornwall, Devon, Somerset and West Dorset.
Over the past year, the Taunton office has more than doubled in size. The firm scooped Clarke Willmott's new homes and bulk conveyancing team in February after it quit the firm because of an increasing level of conflicts.
