Phileas Fogg, that indomitable character in Jules Verne's novel Round the World in 80 Days, would have felt some affinity with our popular head of the Patents Appeal Court Michael Fysh QC, as Fysh is both a voracious traveller and has recently has taken up a deep interest in ballooning as a result of his involvement in a case concerning a hot air balloon manufacturer.
