US firm Mayer Brown & Platt represented Bozano Simonsen in its management of a 50-million-euro, eight-year put bonds deal for Bombril SA, the Brazilian cleaning products company. The transaction was governed by English law, but no English firm was involved. Mayer Brown's team consisted of New York partner Peter Darrow, London partners Richard Cole and Denis Petkovic, New York associates Allen Moreland and Santiago Sepulveda, and London trainee solicitor Caroline Gray. It worked in conjunction with UK and US capital markets lawyers in the firm's London office. The bonds are guaranteed by Italian food company Cirio Holding. Pinheiro Neto Advogados advised the issuer on Brazilian law. Piergrossi Villa Manca Graziadei Studio Legale, Milan, advised the guarantor on Italian law.
