East Midlands firm Flint Bishop has acquired niche Derby ­private client and property firm Robotham & Co.

The latter has been in existence for 150 years and until the takeover was run by the fifth generation of the Robotham family.

Managing ­partner of Flint Bishop Ken Dixon said: “The client base that Robotham has established since opening its Derby office in 1837 is a veritable showcase of prominent Derbyshire families. We have no plans to rebrand them as Flint Bishop, instead we’ll be maintaining the firm’s independent identity and ­cherishing its brand name.”
