Five partners quit Herbert Smith ally in Brussels

Stibbe partners to set up new firm with Brussels-based intellectual property practice Braun Bigwood

Five Brussels partners from Herbert Smith’s Dutch and Belgian alliance partner Stibbe are defecting to set up a new firm with intellectual property specialist Braun Bigwood.

Braun Bigwood’s ten partners will be joined by litigator Paul Alain Foriers, insolvency specialist Michèle Grégoire, corporate finance lawyer Sandrine Hirsch, banking and arbitration expert Lucien Simont and commercial lawyer Béatrice Thieffry.

The new firm will be called Simont Braun and will offer intellectual property, banking, corporate and litigation services.

The group of five are leaving Stibbe at the end of this year.
