Morgan Lewis & Bockius has made its first significant French hire since opening in Paris last June with the arrival of Stéphan Alamowitch from Orrick Herrington & Sutcliffe.
Alamowitch, who was Orrick’s head of structured finance, will help establish a global finance practice for Morgan Lewis. He brings with him two associates.
He comes to Morgan Lewis after a decade as an associate and partner at Orrick and its Paris forerunner Watson Farley & Williams. Alamowitch’s expertise spans a variety of finance work.
Morgan Lewis opened in Paris in June 2004 with the hire of a 15-lawyer team from De Pardieu Brocas Maffei, led by former De Pardieu name partner Jean Leygonie. The office now has 23 lawyers including five partners.
