First in-house lawyer joins ERC Frankona

Reassurance specialist ERC Frankona has appointed its first in-house lawyer to oversee its newly consolidated company.

John Titchener, a qualified barrister, joins the company from insurance broker Willis International where he worked for more than 10 years.

Titchener says he was app-ointed because ERC Frankona is made up of a number of different companies which have now consolidated under one structure.

"The company has now reached critical mass," he says.

ERC Frankona is part of the Employers Reinsurance Corporation, which is the third largest company of its kind in the world, and is owned by US giant General Electric Company.

Titchener says he chose to leave Willis International because "the opportunity presented itself".
