Legacy firms Beachcroft and Davies Arnold Cooper ( DAC) merged on 1 November (31 October 2011) creating a 230 partner-strong insurance giant (22 June 2011). The results represent a rise on the individual firms’ half-year figures from 2010-11.

Legacy Beachcroft senior partner and now senior partner of DAC Beachcroft Simon Hodson attributed the first-half rise to the focus of the combined firm’s lawyers.

“It is, of course, only the first six months of the year and the real test is going to be maintaining that focus during the first six months of trading as DAC Beachcroft as well as maintaining all of the necessary financial disciplines needed to ensure a successful outcome for the year as a whole, ” he added.

DAC Beachcroft’s results fall in line with the majority of UK firms to have released their half-year revenue figures, with the majority of firms achieving growth in the first six months of the current financial year.

CMS Cameron McKenna is the latest firm to have released its half-year results, announcing a 5 per cent rise in revenue on the same period in the 2010-11 financial year (2 December 2011).

  • Wouldnt do any harm to share the profits with their staff. The majority of staff have not had an increase for 5 years.
