Legal Action Group director Karen Mackay appointed to new role at Solicitors Family Law Association after management review
The current director of the Legal Action Group Karen Mackay has been appointed as the Solicitors Family Law Associations (SFLA) first chief executive. The appointment follows a management review carried out for the SFLA last year. Mackay has been the director of the Legal Action Group since May 2000. Previously, she was head of legal services at the Law Society. She has a wealth of experience in legal services, legal aid and access to justice. Mackay has also worked for the Federation of Independent Advice Centres and Threshold Housing Advice Centre. The SFLA, which was established 21 years ago, has grown from a small group of family lawyers into a large organisation of 5,000 members.
