Shoosmiths website details services offered by professional discipline team

Shoosmiths has launched a website detailing the services offered by its national professional discipline team, which is headed by senior associate Charlotte Ellis, who brought the niche area of work to the firm with legal adviser Colin Bailey.

The professional discipline team website can be viewed here.

The team acts for professionals, health and social care professionals, and other regulated professionals across the UK, Europe and further afield, advising clients facing investigations that call into question their fitness to practise and those who need assistance in relation to registration with their regulatory bodies.

Ellis has extensive experience of advising and defending professionals from a variety of sectors, including healthcare, and defended doctors on behalf of the Medical Defence Union for some years.

She has developed a niche area of regulatory work relating to the registration of professionals with their respective regulatory bodies and has particular experience in matters concerning the General Medical Council, the General Pharmaceutical Council, the Architects Registration Board, the Teaching Agency and the Association of Chartered Certified Accountants.

She is a member of the Law Society and the Association of Regulatory and Disciplinary Lawyers.

Bailey defends health and social care and regulated professionals from a variety of backgrounds, and his work covers a wide range of regulatory, disciplinary and professional issues.

He is a member of the Middle Temple Inn of Court and the Association of Regulatory and Disciplinary Lawyers.
