Our professional negligence specialists provide an advisory as well as an adversarial service, and advise claimants and defendants on all aspects of professional negligence matters, including limitation, liability, quantum and evidence.
We are instructed in a broad spread of cases, including commercial property transactions, international trade, sale of goods, partnership disputes, shareholders’ disputes, assignment of causes of action, corporate and personal insolvency.
We have particular expertise in professional negligence cases concerning occupational pensions, investment and financial services, and we have cross-examined witnesses in all manner of disciplines, from actuaries to dairy consultants.
Much of our work emanates from our core areas of practice. As a result, barristers in our professional negligence team have advised and appeared in cases concerning employment, clinical negligence, personal injury and mortgages.
As well as acting as advocates at all levels of civil first instance and appellate courts, we regularly appear at arbitrations and mediations, and several members of chambers have professional qualifications in alternative dispute resolution.
