François is the Managing Partner of Ogier’s Luxembourg office which he founded in 2012.
François graduated from the University of Strasbourg (France) and obtained several degrees in law, economy, finance and political science. He began his career in 1986 with KPMG as tax adviser and Svenska Handelsbanken as legal counsel. After having acted as head of legal and tax for the RTL group, he joined Fidelity Investments as senior legal counsel for continental Europe and was thereafter a senior partner at OPF Partners for 12 years.
François has been a member of the Luxembourg Bar since 1991 and is also a member of The Monterey Funds Club, an alliance of specialist investment fund lawyers across Europe. He is a member of several working groups within ALFI (Luxembourg Fund Association) and of the Luxembourg Private Equity Association (LPEA).
François is a regular speaker at conferences globally. He is currently teaching a module at the IFBL (Institut de Formation Bancaire, Luxembourg) on the “structuring of real estate investment” and “AIFMD”.
He is also a director of several regulated investment funds.
A Luxembourg national, he speaks many languages including; English, French, German and Luxembourgish.
