Olswang appoints Dr Justin Hill to intellectual property practice
Olswang has announced the appointment of Dr Justin Hill to its intellectual property (IP) practice, taking the role of co-chair of the patent prosecution group.
Prior to joining a boutique IP firm as head of patents in 2010, Hill spent 10 years at McDermott Will & Emery, during which time he become head of European IP prosecution and opposition practices.
His sector expertise in high-tech through to life sciences is broad and he holds a first-class degree in chemistry with business studies and a PhD in semiconductor physics.
Hill has been regularly recognised as a leader in IP by all the main legal directories and the most recent edition of Chambers UK has ranked him as a band one individual who provides ‘excellent service for all aspects of IP prosecution’.
He has been a fellow of the Chartered Institute of Patent Attorneys since 2002 and is a member of the European Patent Institute; he also sits on the Computer Technology Committee.
