NCTM advises LVMH on Pasticceria Confetteria Cova acquisition
NCTM Studio Legale Associato has assisted LVMH, a multinational group specialising in luxury goods, in the acquisition of a majority stake in Pasticceria Confetteria Cova, trademark holder of Cova and owner of the company Cova Montenapoleone.
Cova, one of Italy’s oldest pastry and confectionary shops, was founded in 1817 near the Teatro alla Scala, and since 1950 has been situated in Via Montenapoleone, at the heart of Milan’s fashion district.
The previous owners, the Faccioli family, will continue to be part of the management and shareholders in the company, in line with LVMH’s continuing strategy of buying family businesses while keeping the founding families involved in order to maintain the business culture and to guarantee increased growth.
LVMH was advised by NCTM senior partner Paolo Montironi and partner Pietro Zanoni.
