DLA Piper's non-profit affiliate looks set to receive Global Citizenship Award
The American Lawyer has announced that DLA Piper’s non-profit affiliate New Perimeter will receive a lifetime achievement Global Citizenship Award as part of the publication’s inaugural Global Legal Awards. DLA Piper will be honoured at a dinner on 23 September at Gotham Hall in New York City.
After receiving more than 300 nominations, the publication created new categories to honour the global legal work handled by legal teams across the country and the world. New Perimeter will receive the Global Citizenship Award: Lifetime Achievement award – the only firm to do so.
New Perimeter, a non-profit organisation established by DLA Piper in 2005, provides pro bono legal assistance primarily in developing and post-conflict regions. Its mission is to provide long-term, high-impact pro bono legal support to qualifying non-profit organisations, governments and academic institutions.
