Allen & Overy partner set to chair 2013 GCR Live Telecoms, Media and Technology event
Antonio Bavasso, a partner in Allen & Overy’s global antitrust team, will co-chair the 2013 GCR Live Telecoms, Media and Technology event on 2 July.
The event — due to take place at the law firm’s London office — will examine the critical antitrust issues now playing out in the telecoms, media and technology sector.
Speakers will include experts from the worlds of enforcement, economics and in-house counsel. The keynote address will be delivered by Bruno Lasserre, president of the French Competition Authority.
Among the issues to be debated are:
- Mobile telephony — how will recent antitrust and regulatory issues play out?
- Online distribution platforms and the relationships between content owners and digital distributors
- What is the true standard for foreclosure in IT cases?
- Online competition — too much scrutiny or too little?
