Al Tamimi appoints Chris Appleby as regional head of technology, media and telecoms
Chris Appleby has been appointed as the new regional head of technology, media and telecommunications at Al Tamimi & Company.
Based in the Dubai office, Appleby joins a team where he brings experience in a wide variety of transactions in a number of jurisdictions, including Dubai, Qatar, Australia, Hong Kong and New Zealand.
He qualified as a solicitor in Christchurch, New Zealand, in 1991 and advises on information technology (IT), telecommunications law and regulation, large-scale IT/telecoms infrastructure procurement, outsourcing, intellectual property and competitive tendering and contracting.
Appleby has experience in both private sector and government technology, as well as media and telecommunications work, and has spent time on secondment as senior counsel at Vodafone Qatar and Dell Services in Qatar.
