Wright, Jonathan

Jonathan Wright joined Kings Chambers in 2012 on completion of pupillage. He acts and advises in chancery and commercial cases of all kinds. He has particular experience of commercial litigation, insolvency, and property law (including landlord and tenant law).

Commercial litigation
Wright is regularly instructed in a wide range of commercial cases. He is experienced in contractual disputes, debt recovery, sale of goods and defective workmanship, at every stage from settling pleadings to trial advocacy.

Insolvency
Wright regularly carries out insolvency work, and is happy to act and advise in both corporate insolvency and bankruptcy proceedings. He appears frequently in the High Court and county courts in insolvency cases, and is instructed by both creditors and debtors.

Property
Wright has a strong interest in real property law, including conveyancing, mortgages, easements and other third-party property rights. He is also experienced in landlord and tenant work, and is happy to advise and act in relation to business and residential tenancies of all kinds. He accepts instructions in connection with leases and licences, breach of covenant and dilapidations, and frequently appears in possession proceedings.

Company and partnership
Wright has a keen interest in company and partnership law. He has acted in a number of cases in these areas, and hopes to develop his practice further.

Traditional chancery litigation
Wright is happy to accept instructions in a range of different fields within traditional chancery work, including trusts, wills, and the administration of estates.
