Wragge Lawrence Graham & Co promotes Ravi Randhawa to legal director
Wragge Lawrence Graham & Co’s public law and regulation expert Ravi Randhawa has been promoted to the role of legal director.
Randhawa advises sector regulators, consumer councils, government departments, local authorities, major corporates, trade associations and small and medium-sized enterprises (SMEs) on the full range of public law issues.
She has particular know-how in energy, education, transport, health, water, food and postal services, backed up by nearly two decades’ experience working in the civil service.
Randhawa has been advising the Northern Ireland utility regulator since 2003 and is effectively an integral part of its in-house team. Calling on specialist sector knowledge, she helped Cadbury on the implementation and application of EU legislation as regards the sale of food, plus compliance with the Food Standards Agency and local food authorities.
She also developed and drafted the Department of Energy and Climate Change’s regulatory licence conditions underpinning and implementing its programme to roll out smart meters to every domestic and small-business premises in the UK by 2020.
