Wragge & Co wins in ‘UK Patent Contentious’ category at Managing IP awards
The intellectual property (IP) team at Wragge & Co has won in the ‘UK Patent Contentious’ category at the Managing Intellectual Property (Managing IP) awards. The award follows several high-profile victories, including obtaining a ground-breaking Supreme Court judgment overturning a £49m damages claim from Virgin Atlantic for client Zodiac Seats UK and taking on 20th Century Fox for trademark infringement.
The team was also recently named TMT Team of the Year at both the Legal Business Awards and the British Legal Awards. Other high-profile work from the team has included obtaining a finding of patent infringement for Californian client ASSIA against British Telecommunications (BT) relating to the management of BT’s most advanced broadband network.
