Wragge & Co hosts student networking event as part of Black History Month

Wragge & Co recently hosted an evening of networking for 100 students and young people interested in a career in law. The Access2Law event is aimed at young people from backgrounds that are under-represented in the profession.

The event was co-hosted with Elevation Networks, a youth employment charity, and is part of the firm’s commitment and support for events celebrating Black History Month.

Guest speakers included Paul Uppal MP for Wolverhampton whose father was a magistrate and who is married to a lawyer; Nirmal Shant QC, chair of Midlands Asian Lawyers Association; Angela Henry, director of Birmingham Law Society; and Tom Lawal, St Ives Chambers’ Young Barrister of the Year.
