Wragge & Co and Lawrence Graham announce merger agreement
Wragge & Co and Lawrence Graham are set to merge, forming a new firm — Wragge Lawrence Graham & Co — from 1 May 2014.
The partnerships of both firms have voted in favour of the combination, which will create a £171m business with 1,300 people, including 770 lawyers, operating from 10 offices worldwide.
The firm will provide clients with access to a broader range of services, increased capability in London and the UK and enhanced international coverage.
Wragge Lawrence Graham & Co will be home to a real-estate practice, an equity capital markets practice and expertise in investment funds, private capital, intellectual property, pensions and construction.
In London and the UK, it will have a stronger platform from which to pursue growth and meet the needs of a diverse client base. It will have offices in 10 locations — Birmingham, Brussels, Dubai, Guangzhou, London, Monaco, Moscow, Munich, Paris and Singapore — plus trusted networks around the world.
Wragge & Co managing partner elect David Fennell will become the new firm’s chief executive.
