Winckworth Sherwood senior partner is appointed chaplain to the Queen
In an announcement from Buckingham Palace on 12 March 2014, it was reported that the Queen has appointed the Reverend Canon John Rees, a Winckworth Sherwood senior parter, as one of her chaplains.
The honour, which recognises long and distinguished service to the Church of England, entitles the chaplains to wear a scarlet cassock in recognition of his or her status, as well as the royal cypher and crown within an oval wreath.
