Weightmans has become the latest firm to announce its partner promotions, adding four partners - one more than in 2012.
The firm has made up two partners in its Liverpool office and two in Manchester in four practice groups, including its core insurance team. One of the newly-promoted partners, public sector specialist Suzanne Milne, is female.
The announcement comes as John Schorah and Dan Cutts take over formally as the firm’s new managing and senior partners (30 January 2013). The firm has also launched a fourth business line and is set to focus its efforts on diversifying its London office (29 April 2013).
In 2012 Weightmans made up three partners.
The firm has also announced the promotion of 15 associates across its offices. It plans to make a non-lawyer a partner when it receives its ABS licence.
Schorah said the promotions reflected the firm’s strength in depth and the “giant strides we are making as an organisation.”
The promotions in full:
Jonathan Hodgkinson (insurance, Liverpool) Suzanne Milne (local government, Manchester) Mark Dunn (transport, Manchester) Matthew Williamson (real estate, Liverpool)
