Walker Morris teams set to take on Oxfam Trailtrekker Gold Challenge
Two teams from Walker Morris are taking on the Oxfam Trailtrekker Gold Challenge, which takes place in the Yorkshire Dales on 31 May–1 June 2014.
The Gold Challenge involves walking 100km (more than 62 miles) in less than 30 hours (non-stop) in a circular route that starts and finishes in Skipton. Two teams of four from the law firm, one comprising partners and one comprising trainees, will be among the many teams participating in the event to help raise money for Oxfam.
As part of the challenge, every team has to pledge to raise at least £1,500. To meet their target, the teams have held a number of fundraising activities including cake sales and bag packing in supermarkets.
The Walker Morris teams are:
- Trainees — Mark Appleby, Dean Peachey, Sarah Pickering and Andana Streng
- Partners — Simon Concannon, Paul Emmett, Jeremy Moore and David Smedley
