Walker Morris set to speak and exhibit at LGG Weekend School 2014
Walker Morris will be speaking and exhibiting at the LGG Weekend School 2014 at the University of York. David Kilduff, Daniel Newbound, Richard Auton, Caroline Finnett and Elizabeth Wood from the firm will be at the event.
Kilduff, head of commercial projects and infrastructure, along with Newbound, an associate in the commercial dispute resolution team, and director Auton are leading a session called ‘Practical tips for managing your contracts’ on 4 April at 10.15–11.00.
This session will focus on the key practical challenges that local authorities will face managing contracts effectively in a changing environment. This will include an assessment of the commercial, procurement, governance and value-for-money implications of effective contract management and the implications of not doing so.
The session will commence with a brief reminder of the legal tools available to get the most out of contracts — including changes to contracts, performance management and termination. Practical examples will be given.
