Walker Morris football tournament raises £400 for Hyde Park Boys and Girls Brigade
The Walker Morris charity football tournament recently took place, with eight teams battling it out in aid of Hyde Park Boys Brigade and Girls Brigade — Walker Morris’s nominated charity for the year.
Pre-tournament favourite Asda took home the trophy and was unbeaten throughout the tournament, cruising to a victory to beat Colliers International in the final and take home the trophy.
The home team from Walker Morris finished in third place with AFC LBG being awarded fourth. Other teams included Drax, PwFC, On Yer Eddisons and Hyde Park Drop In.
The event raised more than £400 for Hyde Park Boys Brigade and Girls Brigade, which encourages boys and girls in the Hyde Park areas of Leeds to participate in a programme of activities, events and camps including badge awards and sports.
The tournament is part of a series of fundraising events that the firm is organising on behalf of the association.
