Walker Morris finance and real-estate teams advise Evans Management on £175m deal
Finance and real-estate lawyers at Walker Morris have advised Evans Management on a funding deal worth £175m to assist with investment and acquisition opportunities.
The business, which is owned by Evans Property Group, agreed the refinancing package with the Royal Bank of Scotland and Barclays Bank, which provided £125m and £50m respectively.
Based in Leeds and London, the company is a long-established private property investor and developer. The group’s current investments include 1 Park Row in Leeds and the White Rose Shopping Centre.
The funding will allow it to continue with its refurbishment projects in Leeds and extend its investments in the Forest of Dean and Sherwood Forest, as well as purchase a Dakota Hotel in Glasgow.
Banking and finance partner Ian Akitt led the Walker Morris team and was assisted by Ben Roden, also in the banking and finance team, and head of real estate Jeremy Moore.
