Three from DLA Piper appear on ‘Top 250 Women in IP’ list in Managing IP magazine
DLA Piper has announced that Ann Ford, Claudia Frost and Lisa Haile have been named on Managing Intellectual Property’s annual list of ‘Top 250 Women in IP’, which recognises the top female intellectual property (IP) lawyers in the US.
Part of the inaugural edition of IP Stars, a supplement to Managing Intellectual Property magazine, the ‘Top 250’ honourees were selected based on more than 1,000 interviews and surveys conducted with IP partners and law firms throughout the US between June 2012 and April 2013.
Based in Washington DC, Ford is vice-chair of the firm’s US IP and technology group and chair of the trademark, copyright and media practice. She was recognised in the Northeast region for her work on trademark, copyright law and IP law on the internet, specifically within the fashion and media industries.
Frost is co-chair of the firm’s patent litigation practice and is based in Houston. She was honoured in the South region for her patent litigation matters including in the oil and gas and healthcare areas. Frost was previously featured in Euromoney’s Guide to Leading US Litigators and Guide to Leading World Litigators.
Haile is co-chair of the firm’s global life-sciences sector and is based in San Diego. She was included in the West region for her efforts in patent protection matters in the biotech and pharmaceutical sectors.
