Taylor Wessing wins Legal Technology Team of the Year at 2014 Legal Business Awards
Taylor Wessing has been named as the winner of the Legal Technology Team of the Year at the 2014 Legal Business Awards.
The award, which is a new category for 2014, recognises the law firms and chief information officers (CIOs) that have pushed through innovation and secured a competitive advantage for their firms, with a particular focus on CIOs that have engaged with their firm’s strategies and business models.
Over the last year, the Taylor Wessing IT department’s role has reportedly risen from a back-office support function to a core business partner, with the team offering consultancy to clients on various legal IT issues, including document management, online providers, email archiving solutions and identifying future systems direction.
To date, the team has advised a professional services client on ‘bring your own device’, a media group on its document management strategy and a major accountancy firm on its email management solution.
