Taylor Wessing grows its construction practice by hiring Matthew Jones
Taylor Wessing has announced the hire of Matthew Jones to its construction and engineering group. Jones will be joining Taylor Wessing from Nabarro, where he is a partner and leader of the firm’s infrastructure group.
Besides his extensive experience in real-estate development and development finance, Jones has also been involved in infrastructure projects in areas including energy, transport, health and education.
He advises on all aspects of construction legal matters, particularly the procurement, drafting and negotiation of building contracts, consultancy appointments and related construction agreements. He also deals with risk management and dispute resolution.
Jones will work closely with Taylor Wessing’s real-estate group, including the firm’s planning, funds and tax teams, as well as the firm’s banking group in relation to real-estate acquisition and development finance.
