Taylor Wessing advises Electra Partners on acquisition of Calrec Audio
Taylor Wessing’s private equity group has advised Electra Partners on the acquisition of audio mixing console manufacturer Calrec from D&M Holdings. Financing for the deal was provided in full by Electra Private Equity through a mixture of equity and debt.
Established in 1964, Calrec designs and manufactures audio mixing consoles for use in the television and radio broadcast sector. Its products are primarily used for sports broadcasts and other live events.
Nick Hazell, head of private equity, led the corporate team along with associates Kate Singer and Jonny Bethell. Debt finance advice was provided by Ross Caldwell, Lerika Joubert and Gabriel Estevez; Richard Carson and James Stewart advised on tax; James Marshall, Colin McCall, Adam Rendle and Carina Badger advised on technology and intellectual property aspects; Amy Sinclair provided employment input; and Maddalena Padrin led on real estate.
