Stephenson Harwood wins Rail Finance Law Firm of the Year award

Stephenson Harwood’s rail practice has won Rail Finance Law Firm of the Year at the 2013 Global Transport Finance awards, which were held on 25 November.

The award, which was previously called the Jane’s Transport Finance award, was given to Stephenson Harwood’s aircraft finance team in 2010 and its ship finance team in 2011.

The accolade recognises the firm that delivered some of the most outstanding and industry-changing deals of the year.

Recent client matters include advising Hitachi on its bid for the Crossrail rolling stock, advising Macquarie Bank on its first venture into the European rail rolling stock leasing market and advising the banks on the new rolling stock that forms part of the £320m improvements to London Overground.
