This year, The Lawyer’s annual ranking of the largest UK law firms by turnover is available as an interactive, digital benchmarking tool. For the first time this will allow you to manipulate each data set against the metrics of your choice.
SJ Berwin has promoted five lawyers to partner including two in its London headquarters.
The annual round of promotions, effective from 1 May, sees one new partner added in each of IP, corporate EU, regulatory and competition, litigation and private client.
In addition to a duo of City lawyers made up, one has stepped up in Brussels and two in Frankfurt.
The overall number of promotions is static compared with last year’s round, in which four were given the nod in London and one in Frankfurt (30 April 2012), with eight made up in 2011 across London, Frankfurt, Madrid and Paris (6 May 2011).
In September 2011 the firm also added four funds associates to the partnership outside of the usual promotions schedule following a team exit to US firm Proskauer Rose (26 September 2011).
SJ Berwin managing partner Rob Day said in a statement: “Recognising, developing and promoting talent within our firm is a key part of our growth strategy. These five individuals have demonstrated the contribution they make to the firm in terms of their outstanding client service, their sector knowledge and superb technical ability. It’s great to see such an international range of partner promotions.”
