Shoosmiths hires two new partners to its Birmingham office

Shoosmiths has announced the appointment of two partners who will be based at the firm’s Birmingham office: Karen Featherstone and David Adams.

Featherstone joins as partner from Pinsent Masons where she was a senior associate in the tax team. She has significant experience in private equity transactions, mergers and acquisitions, restructurings and reorganisations.

She will head up Shoosmiths’ tax offering in Birmingham and will advise on all aspects of corporate and business tax. 

Adams, who was previously lead partner for the Midlands banking team at Squire Sanders, has advised some of the world’s largest banks and specialises in real-estate finance, acquisition and leveraged finance (both sponsor and non-sponsor), pensions-related finance, restructuring, refinancing and asset-based lending. 

He will focus on all aspects of banking and restructuring, working closely with some of the UK’s major banks and financial institutions at Shoosmiths.
