RTPR Allen & Overy appoints Valentin Berea as partner in Bucharest
RTPR Allen & Overy has strengthened its competition, dispute resolution and IP practices with the appointment of Valentin Berea as partner, together with a team of three lawyers, based in Bucharest.
Berea has won some of the most notable anti-trust litigation cases, including, together with his team, succeeding in obtaining in court the first significant reduction (of more than 80 per cent) of a fine imposed by the Competition Council (on the insulin trading market), based on a mitigating circumstance. This has set a precedent in court of reducing the fines imposed by the competition authority.
In addition, he is a certified intellectual property counsellor and an assisting professor at the Bucharest Law University.
