Rory Tait joins Shoosmiths as partner to head up energy group
Shoosmiths has announced the appointment of Rory Tait as a partner to head its energy group.
A commercial lawyer, Tait is a renewable energy specialist who has advised energy developers and sponsors on commercial contracts, regulatory matters and power purchase agreements encountered in renewable and sustainable energy projects.
He regularly acts for both leading players and new entrants in the renewable and sustainable energy sector and has also advised property developers on their utility infrastructure arrangements.
Tait, who is director and secretary of the Renewable Energy Association, as well as being a founder-director and secretary of the UK Business Council for Sustainable Development, joins from Everyman Legal, having formerly worked in a senior role at Eversheds.
Tait’s national role will extend to Scotland, where he will be supported by ACH Shoosmiths in Edinburgh.
