Pillsbury appoints Jeffrey B Grill as managing partner in Washington DC office
Jeffrey B Grill has been appointed to serve as managing partner of Pillsbury’s Washington DC office, effective 14 April 2014.
Grill, a corporate and securities partner who represents publicly and privately held companies in a range of matters, currently serves as the executive partner for talent development, where he takes the lead on aligning the firm’s talent management strategies with its strategic business goals.
He takes over from current managing partner Christine Nicolaides Kearns, who has accepted a position as the executive vice-president and chief legal and administrative officer with BF Saul Company. Consistently recognised by Washingtonian magazine as one of the region’s best practitioners in employment law, she has held numerous leadership roles within the firm, including serving on the firm’s Nominating and Partner Compensation Committees.
A leader of Pillsbury’s REITs and real-estate capital markets team, in the past 10 years Grill has represented issuers in the public and private offering of more than $6bn (£3.5bn) in equity and debt securities. He advises on initial public offerings (IPOs), public senior and subordinate debt financings and Rule 144A private placements of high-yield debt, as well as mergers and acquisitions, restructurings, joint ventures and general corporate and commercial matters. He has been with the firm since 1995.
