Partner Shaun McRobert joins King & Wood Mallesons’ Perth office
King & Wood Mallesons has expanded its Western Australia practice with the appointment of energy and resources partner Shaun McRobert.
McRobert joins the firm from Norton Rose, where he has developed a strong domestic and international corporate practice with a particular focus on the mining and financial services sectors. He has experience advising on acquisitions and divestments, initial public offerings and joint ventures.
After a three-year stint working in Hong Kong, McRobert brings cross-border expertise and a network of Asian clients, including investment banks and state-owned enterprises. For example, he advised UBS, JP Morgan and CICC on the recent listing of China Nonferrous Mining Corporation on the Hong Kong Stock Exchange, and while based in Australia he completed a hostile takeover by a Chinese state-owned enterprise.
McRobert is the fourth partner appointment to King & Wood Mallesons’ Perth office in 2013. He joins recently promoted partners Katherine Vines, Nathan Collins and Juliana Jorissen.
