Addleshaw Goddard has added eight to the partnership for the second year running, but the firm’s litigation practice has not taken a new partner into the fold.
In London the firm has made up three partners in the real estate, corporate and commercial groups. Three have also been promoted in Leeds into the finance & projects team, corporate, and business support and restructuring teams and two in Manchester, into the private capital and banking groups.
It is the first time since 2008 that the firm has neglected to add to the litigation partnership. Last year the firm made one up in the disputes group, Louisa Caswell (26 March 2013) of a total eight promotions.
The last two years has seen the firm embark on an enlarged promotions round.
In 2012 six were added to the partnership (27 March 2012), while in 2011 seven were promoted. The disputes group took two into the fold in both years.
Since 2008, litigation has been the most likely practice group to take new partners, with ten made up over the last five years. Real estate has also been a popular group for promotions with five added since 2008. This year just one has been added to the partnership.
The pensions, tax, and professional practices groups are the least likely to promote, with each taking in one a piece since 2008.
The new partners will join the partnership in 1 May. They are:
Chris Cartwright - real estate, London)
Paul Dight - finance & projects, Leeds
Yorke Eaton - private capital, Manchester
Mark Hallam - corporate, Leeds
Richard Oman - banking, Manchester
Nathan Pearce - corporate, London
Damon Rosamond - Lanzetta - commercial, London
