Benjamin Parker has been a tenant at 7 King’s Bench Walk since October 2001.
He specialises in all aspects of commercial law, with a particular emphasis on: shipping law, both ‘wet’ and ‘dry’; insurance and reinsurance; international commercial disputes; private international law; international commodity sales; finance and banking law; the carriage of goods by sea, land and air.
The legal directories describe him as ‘an extremely able and knowledgeable junior’, with ‘star quality’, and ‘one of the Shipping Bar’s rising stars’.
Parker has significant experience of appellate work, having appeared in the House of Lords and Court of Appeal, undertaken a case before the Supreme Court of the United Kingdom, and advised on appeals to the Judicial Committee of the Privy Council. In recent years he has also frequently been retained to provide expert testimony on English law to foreign courts and tribunals.
