Olswang hosts dinner discussion on the globalisation of fashion

On 19 March 2013, Olswang’s fashion team hosted a dinner discussion on the globalisation of fashion at the Showroom Bonami Mannequins in Aalter, Belgium.

Led by Olswang partners Christine De Keersmaeker, Jean-Frédéric Gaultier and Helen Newman, the discussion was attended by a number of Belgian fashion companies interested in hearing about the law firm’s strategic advice in relation to fashion going global.

The discussion explored topics including intellectual property protection and value exploitation, entering the Chinese market and Chinese brands, design rights in relation to classic couture designs, social media for business and the increase in legal issues in the fashion industry.
