Ogier BVI advises Peak-led private investor group on acquisition of Aman Resorts
Ogier BVI has acted with Bryan Cave’s London office to advise a private investor group led by Peak Hotels & Resorts Group on the acquisition of international luxury hotel group Aman Resorts from DLF Global Hospitality, a subsidiary of listed Indian property developer DLF.
The transaction attached an enterprise value of approximately $360m (£215m) to the Aman Resorts portfolio, which is held through holding company Silverlink Resorts.
The transaction called for expertise from across Ogier’s British Virgin Islands (BVI) practice, including significant input from the finance, private client and trusts teams as well as the corporate and commercial team.
The Ogier team was led by managing associate Michael Killourhy with partner Ray Wearmouth. Senior associate Christopher Newton advised on the BVI aspects of the financing arrangements for the acquisition, while senior associate Lawrie Kearns advised on BVI ownership and structuring matters.
Ogier BVI expects to work with Peak and its partners in the future on the implementation of the acquisition and its further plans for Aman.
