No5 Chambers barrister Matthew Brook prosecutes in drugs gang case

Matthew Brook of No5 Chambers has prosecuted in a case where members of a drugs gang, who tried to flood the country with £5m of heroin, cannabis and amphetamines, have been jailed for a total of 51 years.

Brook said: ‘The organisation was well run and able to continue despite the police periodically recovering large amounts of drugs and arresting conspirators.’

In reference to the gang leader, he added: ‘He ensured that he never got hands-on with the drugs.’
