No5 barrister sells Athena Tennis Girl poster dress for £15,500 at auction
Carol Knotts, personal injury and clinical negligence barrister at No5 Chambers, has sold the white dress featured in the iconic 1970s Athena Tennis Girl poster at auction for £15,500.
Knotts made the dress when she was 12 years old and lent it to her friend Fiona Butler, who is the model in the image. The poster went on to sell two million copies.
The lot was sold to an anonymous buyer on the phone on 5 July 2014.
