National Organization for Women honours DLA Piper’s Heidi Levine

DLA Piper’s Heidi Levine, co-managing partner of the New York office and co-chair of the New York mass torts practice, has been honoured by the National Organization for Women (NOW-NYC) at its 2014 Women of Power and Influence Awards dinner on 11 June at the Hilton New York.

The annual gala honours women who have excelled in their fields and led the way for new generations of female business leaders and thinkers.

Levine was among six women recognised for their outstanding achievements. The other honourees were Nithya Das of AppNexus, Carolyn Edgar of The Estée Lauder Companies, Joy Marcus of Bloglovin, Dr Ellen Strahlman of Becton, Dickinson and Company and Bess Weatherman of Warburg Pincus.

Levine’s practice involves the representation of companies as national litigation and co-ordination counsel, often in multi-district litigation proceedings, and working with her clients on issues related to the relevant products on the market.

In addition, she is the co-chair and co-founder of the Leadership Alliance for Women (LAW), DLA Piper’s national women’s initiative, co-chair of the firm’s Women Emerging Leaders initiative and a member of the firm’s executive, policy and diversity committees.
