Nabarro appoints Candice Blackwood in real-estate and healthcare lateral hire
Nabarro has announced the appointment of Candice Blackwood, a partner who will join the firm’s real-estate practice and who has particular expertise in the healthcare sector.
Blackwood, who joins from Berwin Leighton Paisner, has acted regularly on repeat UK transactions and inward investment from US REITS as well as advising on complex real-estate deals, institutional investment, urban regeneration and development projects.
Her hire forms part of Nabarro’s strategy to invest in its offering to clients in five key sectors: financial services, healthcare, infrastructure, manufacturing and real estate.
Over recent years, the firm has won a number of major healthcare mandates including the UK elements of Health Care REIT’s $4.3bn (£2.5bn) acquisition of Sunrise Senior Living, as well as a series of ongoing transactions for the US-listed company, and Care UK’s acquisition of 111 UK service and specialist hospitals.
